The funniest thing is that I’m a semi fashionable person ( I mean, I’m not wonderful but I can sometimes style a nice outfit from time to time) and each time I have to work a show at fashion week, I look like I just woke up and put on whatever I saw on the floor of my closet. Oh and I’ve got sex hair too
Whoops. Just a ps: I love, love, LOVE when I see little children at...
I am at a tow car place on 38th and 12 ave and it’s 5 am and I’m sitting in these horribly faded red chairs that don’t match my outfit. I’ve been up since 10 am and I’ve traveled to the lower east side, back uptown, and then back to midtown. I’ve edited photos for the paper, wrote an article, made some jokes (most were lame), fell out of like, laughed with...

When was the first time you figured out what money actually was? The concept, the fact that there are salaries, the fact that we work for this money, the actual value of money? Because I’m trying to recall when it first dawned on me that money was an important part of life (well, to be honest I still don’t think I truly understand how money works and if it is really that important). Or...

The problem with having such an active imagination is that real life will never live up to standards,
Cue the sad slow music, this is my life. (Hehe, I’m writing this from my phone and I’m watching the city lights)

"hobo nickel" -- john schipp sketches
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobo_nickel
there once was a man named john schipp who sculptured beautiful faces, designs, etc onto coins.
these coins look like they’re apart of something much larger than this life, perhaps the key to some sort of portal or dimension. and john schipp is the bearer
(i’m sorry, but with a name like — john schipp— it makes it inevitable to...

backleftlitz:
Hiring James Franco to write for your publication is essentially like posting a list of the twenty-five silliest cat pictures of all time—a gleeful, fuck-you admission that quality’s not really important, because think of the pageviews! And what a dehumanizing term, pageviews: You’re not…

I’m not sure if this is an awful thought to have, but I’ve been constantly thinking about the blog/tumblr Sylyvia Plath would have if she was alive today. I’m like 99 percent certain that she would be tumblr famous and she would own the internet. (update: Is owning the internet a good thing? I don’t know, I meant it in a way that Slyvia Plath would have a really popular...

you can't make me watch garden state.
i once tried to watch garden state, knowing that everyone claimed that it was the best movie ever (ok, well i mean everyone as in people who think they’re hip/indie/deep/cool for liking garden state) but i know part of me would be like eh, that movie was ok because it’s probably horribly overrated. (or I’d love it, which would be fine, because I think since I’m older now I...

I hate when you use something new and it looses its newness. I hate when you wear that cute shirt for the first time, because you can no longer have a first time with that shirt again. maybe, just maybe, it’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever read but I hate when you turn something new into something old.
i wish everything can be new and exciting to me, sort of like a child just...

I find it interesting that our obsessions and interests have this defining impact on our character yet when we lose interest/stop caring, it’s almost as if nothing happened and we are just forgetting one more chapter of our lives.
usually though, I am blatantly embarrassed about past interests and I wish that wasn’t the case… it did make me who I am.
A side note: I saw Drive...

today i was walking and this lady in front of me tripped (she was walking towards me) and at first I tried to play it off as if I didn’t see her fall, just to give her the benefit of the doubt. But as time passed, the whole thing just set in and I started laughing hysterically (after having a complete straight face) and she started laughing and then we were both laughing and she was like...

I am currently at a Starbucks on Broadway watching the rain fall on the nyc streets. (My apartment has yet to have internet).
The rain is pounding the pavement and it’s making me happy. There are way too many yellow taxis out there (when are there not though?). The puddles are getting incredibly large and it creates this overwhelming feeling inside me - the same feeling that is shouting...

Nausea. The thing that wakes me up in the morning ,almost every morning.
A plane ride from LGA to O’HARE. A hotel lobby substituting a room for the time being. The first day, the best day. Exhaustion, sweat, live music, a good time, and explosions. [in the sky]. Oberst so close and oh so good. (One for you, and one for me.) Some land locked blues, some(thing) good can work, and some...
